Frost Cummings LLP is a full service accounting firm founded in October 1981. The partners of the firm are Larry Frost, Tommie Cummings, Diana Knight, Mary Lou Rutherford, Jeff Maze and Greg Williams. The firm, recognized as one of the "Top Ten Accounting Firms" by the Birmingham Business Journal, has over forty professional staff and employees.

Frost Cummings is a limited liability partnership, with its office at 300 Southpoint Executive Centre in the Five Points South area of Birmingham, and the firm offers a full range of accounting, tax, business advisory, business valuation and litigation support services.

Frost Cummings is a member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants which requires its members to undergo a periodic review of its accounting and auditing procedures and standards. This review is conducted by an independent CPA firm approved by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Our firm last underwent this review process during 2007. As a result, we received our sixth consecutive report technically referred to as "an unqualified report with no letter of comment." This report confirms that Frost Cummings maintains a stringent quality control program and that our standards meet or exceed the industry norms, and is the best possible rating awarded in the peer review process. Quality control procedures are incorporated in the day-to-day operations of the firm and are rigorously monitored.

The partners of Frost Cummings are all certified public accountants with a broad range of executive experience in local and national accounting firms. Several have held leadership positions with the Chamber of Commerce and other official groups established to promote and assist business development. In addition, most have launched successful business ventures of their own, making them uniquely qualified to understand the business problems of clients.

The goal at Frost Cummings is to understand and serve the business objectives of its clients. The personal contact established between the firm's partners and clients is a key component in helping clients to achieve their financial goals. Frost Cummings provides comprehensive client service and often serves as the primary business advisor to our clients through involvement with virtually every facet of their business. The Firm is dedicated to providing our clients the accounting, tax and consulting services essential to succeeding and prospering in today’s ever-changing business environment.

The partners of Frost Cummings believe that in order to serve a client effectively, it is necessary to develop a knowledge of the client's history and particular industry or area of business. The partners devote considerable time to personal contacts with clients and maintain this continuity over a period of years, thus avoiding the turnover common to large national firms. Many small and medium-sized companies, facing the challenges which accompany growth and success, require Big Four expertise but seek an alternative to a national accounting firm. In response to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Firm has been proactive in assisting large and public companies, which were formerly supported by Big Four accounting firms, in meeting the stringent requirements facing them today. The Firm has been a leader in divising strategies and solutions for our clients’ compliance with the requirements that have altered the global business environment. With the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its partners, Frost Cummings can meet the needs of these companies.

The supporting staff of Frost Cummings, including twenty certified public accountants, are experienced professionals, many with training in national firms. The varied backgrounds and experience levels of both principals and staff enable the firm to provide the full range of accounting services and subspecialties to clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Seventeen members of the firm have over twenty years of experience, both in public accounting and in industry. Use of state-of-the-art technology enables the firm to provide premiere financial services.

Professional fees are discussed with all clients before work is started, and all account settlements are made to the full satisfaction of both client and principal.

PHILOSOPHY. Frost Cummings is committed to providing the highest level of client service in a timely and effective manner and, at the same time, to providing suggestions for business solutions and improvements beyond a client's immediate requirements. Our mission is to help our clients prosper and realize their financial goals and business objectives in a complex and competitive business environment. Administrative and management issues, along with financial and operating decisions, require innovative approaches. We offer creative business advice to clients, whether corporate or individual, and maintain a thorough familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements related to business and financial transactions.

Most companies do not have the resources to employ full-time accounting, tax, and management advisory services. Our hallmark is the capability to provide the full range of accounting services and to render personal client service based on continuing familiarity with a company's management and business history.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Each of our partners and staff exceeds the accounting profession standard of forty hours of annual continuing education, often receiving twice that number of training hours. We attend specialized national courses and are highly selective in the seminars we choose, depending on the area of expertise we seek to broaden. The firm also conducts in-house seminars for our staff relating to specific issues such as new tax laws or audit pronouncements.

In addition, we utilize our vast “up-to-the-minute” electronic research resources and specialized publications. Our on-line databases contain the entire body of tax law and relevant reference materials.

These resources and professional activities enable our staff to stay current with new and often complex financial reporting regulations and tax developments.

CLIENT SERVICES. With the diverse backgrounds of our principals and staff, we are able to offer our clients comprehensive assistance as business advisors. Clients are kept abreast of the latest financial and tax developments through several publications and frequent advisory notices from our principals.

Tax planning ideas, tax legislation, and financial reporting issues, along with items of local or regional significance, are covered in periodic mailings to clients. We regularly send information bulletins to clients and industry groups. We also provide booklets to our clients on specialized topics, such as complicated legislation, or in response to frequently asked questions.

OUR CLIENTS. Our client base includes privately owned, growing businesses as well as publicly-traded business conglomerates. Some of our client companies are just starting out, while others are complex business entities operating with multiple subsidiaries in a number of states. We also serve partnerships and professional associations and a large base of individuals with substantial net worth. In addition, we represent a number of our clients as executor and trustee of family estates and trusts.

At Frost Cummings, our mission is to help clients achieve personal and business goals in a cost-effective manner.

Our client base includes the following sectors:

* Biosciences * Contractors * Distribution and wholesale trade * Government * Health care * High technology * Insurance * Manufacturing and mining * Not-for-profit organizations * Professionals * Publishing * Real estate * Retail operations * Service industries * Trade and professional associations
